The Directing Initiative will select directing candidates for episodic network television and match them with directors of CBS Television Network drama and comedy series. The goal is to bridge the gap for those talented directors attempting to break into network television. This initiative facilitates professional on-set observing opportunities for aspiring directors of diverse backgrounds. The program matches participants with CBS primetime directors who will mentor them through the entire process of prep, production, and post-production (Deadline May 30, 2016).
